E.T. Sunday Alliance Coming Soon!

So where are things going in this world you may be asking yourself right? Great question, and recently I sent out a Newsletter briefing on some of the things going on with this new Sunday Alliance you may or may not be familiar with. Also on the docket is a symposium at Andrews University promoting some very questionable issues, topics, and guest speakers.

Here is a brief peak at to what the Alliance is promoting:

In times of financial and economic crisis when more and more social and employment rights are coming under pressure, the work-free Sunday is a clear and visible demonstration that the people and our societies are not dependent solely on work and the economy.

We believe that all citizens of the European Union are entitled to benefit from decent working hours that, as a matter of principle, exclude working late evenings, nights, public holidays and Sundays. Only essential services should operate on Sundays.

Today, legislation and practices now in place at EU and Member State levels need to be more protective of the health, safety and dignity of everyone and should more assertively promote the reconciliation of professional and family life. We believe that social cohesion in European citizenship should be reinforced.

Therefore, the Alliance calls on members, supporters and all citizens to make our common demand visible on Sunday, 4 March 2012!

 

From the Newsletter:

We as a people have not accomplished the work which God has committed to us. WE ARE NOT READY FOR THE ISSUE TO WHICH THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE SUNDAY LAW WILL BRING US. IT IS OUR DUTY, AS WE SEE THE SIGNS OF APPROACHING PERIL, TO AROUSE TO ACTION. Let none sit in calm expectation of the evil, comforting themselves with the belief that this work must go on because prophecy has foretold it, and that the Lord will shelter His people. We are not doing the will of God if we sit in quietude, doing nothing to preserve liberty of conscience. Fervent, effectual prayer should be ascending to heaven that this calamity may be deferred until we can accomplish the work which has so long been neglected. Let there be most earnest prayer, and then let us work in harmony with our prayers…. {5T 713.4}

If our people continue in the listless attitude in which they have been, God cannot pour upon them His Spirit. They are unprepared to co-operate with Him. They are not awake to the situation and do not realize the threatened danger. They should feel now, as never before, their need of vigilance and concerted action. {5T 714.1}

God calls upon us to awake, for the end is near. Every passing hour is one of activity in the heavenly courts to make ready a people upon the earth to act a part in the great scenes that are soon to open upon us. These passing moments, that seem of so little value to us, are weighty with eternal interests. They are molding the destiny of souls for everlasting life or eternal death. The words we utter today in the ears of the people, the works we are doing, the spirit of the message we are bearing, will be a savor of life unto life or of death unto death. {5T 716.3}

My brethren, do you realize that your own salvation, as well as the destiny of other souls, depends upon the preparation you now make for the trial before us? Have you that intensity of zeal, that piety and devotion, which will enable you to stand when opposition shall be brought against you? IF GOD HAS EVER SPOKEN BY ME, THE TIME WILL COME WHEN YOU WILL BE BROUGHT BEFORE COUNCILS, AND EVERY POSITION OF TRUTH WHICH YOU HOLD WILL BE SEVERELY CRITICIZED. The time that so many are now allowing to go to waste should be devoted to the charge that God has given us of preparing for the approaching crisis. {5T 716.4}

The law of God should be loved and honored by His true people now more than ever before. There is the most imperative necessity of urging the injunction of Christ upon the minds and hearts of all believers, men and women, youth and children: “SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES.” STUDY YOUR BIBLE AS YOU HAVE NEVER STUDIED IT BEFORE. UNLESS YOU ARISE TO A HIGHER, HOLIER STATE IN YOUR RELIGIOUS LIFE, YOU WILL NOT BE READY FOR THE APPEARING OF THE LORD. As great light has been given, God expects corresponding zeal, faithfulness, and devotion on the part of His people. There must be more spirituality, a deeper consecration to God, and a zeal in His work that has never yet been reached. Much time should be spent in prayer, that our garments of character may be washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb. {5T 717.1}

This past week at the Theological Seminary on the Campus of Andrews University, they had a Symposium in which they invited a special guest.

The seminary at Andrews University, like all of our seminaries are a place for training our soon to be ministers of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We have a particular message that is unlike the rest of the ecumenical religions of the world.  Why do we invite those from the outside to present, lecture, teach, and train our people? We were told from Elder Ted Wilson not to bring in outside leadership, were we not?
I went to hear both meetings. Many things he presented I did not agree with. During the Q & A time, the question arose, that stressed the importance for us to keep the Sabbath of the seventh day Holy. Kinnamon responded, I’d that is the first question, and cannot be made a secondary question, then it would not be possible to for us to join the Ecumenical movement. Another one was, when Dr. Denis Fortin, who has know Dr. Kinnamon for 13 years introduced him as his mentor.

Fortin’s earned a master of divinity from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary of Andrews University in 1986, and a doctorate in theology from the Universit� Laval, Quebec, in 1995. His dissertation was titled: “Adventism in the Eastern Townships of Quebec: Implantation and Institutionalization in the 19th Century.”

I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors. I saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, He will not keep us. The angels cease their watchful care over us, and we are left to the buffetings of the enemy, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the darkness. {EW 124.3}

I saw that we have no time to throw away in listening to fables. Our minds should not be thus diverted, but should be occupied with the present truth, and seeking wisdom that we may obtain a more thorough knowledge of our position, that with meekness we may be able to give a reason of our hope from the Scriptures. While false doctrines and dangerous errors are pressed upon the mind, it cannot be dwelling upon the truth which is to fit and prepare the house of Israel to stand in the day of the Lord. {EW 125.1}

Benefits of Lemons

Lemon (Citrus) is a miraculous product to kill cancer cells.

It is 10,000 times stronger than chemotherapy.

Why do we not know about that?

It destroys the malignant cells in 12 types of cancer, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreas …

The compounds of this tree actually showed 10,000 times better than the product Adriamycin, a drug normally used chemotherapeutic in the world, slowing the growth of cancer cells.

And what is even more astonishing: this type of therapy with lemon extract not only destroys malignant cancer cells and does not affect healthy cells.

The Food Crisis

Greetings my Friend,

I pray that you are growing closer with each day and hour to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

I received an email from a friend of mine in Toronto, who wrote the piece below. His name is Tim Aka, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) for a major banking corporation in the area of Managed Investments.

As I have written to you recently about the food issues to come regarding the economy. Many are stocking up, and hoarding food, without regard to the greater t the greater need of buying Christ. When I read Tim’s write up, I was so moved by the insight and inspiration to this, that I asked him permission to send this out, which he has granted.

My friend, stock up on Jesus, so much so, that He will be oozing out of your very character.

The Food Crisis

Many people are worried about a food crisis about to hit the planet; crop failures and natural disasters everywhere, water shortages, and not to mention the US Federal reserve printing money like crazy and devaluing the dollar causing hyper-inflation about to explode. I do believe there is a food crisis, but not what you might be thinking. No, the food crisis is not that there is too little food or that food will become very expensive, but that in the western world there is too much food.

Now, I’m not downplaying the plight of the poor around the world who are starving, or those who are on food stamps in US or those who are truly suffering. But for the majority of us, the biggest crisis is that there is too much food. We have more than we can possibly eat, we eat it all day long, at all times of the day and night, in any quantities, and we throw out more food every week from our fridge, than some people may get in a month. We like to go out to eat, we order it in, we get take out,…; we go for coffees with friends, or we enjoy a cup in solitude; we eat to celebrate, we eat when we feel down; One of our greatest pastimes is eating.

Now some of you are about to stop reading, because you’re thinking I don’t have a eating problem… I watch what I eat… I get a bit of exercise…I dutifully eat my fruits and vegetables, as well as Loma Linda vege-links…everything in moderation right?…there are bigger fish to fry (pun intended). Well consider this quote from Ellen White writing about Christ’s experience of fasting for 40 days in the wilderness, “Only by the inexpressible anguish which Christ endured, can we estimate the evil of unrestrained indulgence. His example declares that our only hope of eternal life is through bringing the appetites and passions into subjection to the will of God.” {Counsels on Diets and Foods E.G. White 151.3}

Is what we eat an issue that might determine our salvation? The answer is a definite, YES! Our eating habits can impact our hope of eternal life. This is not about being vegetarian, or simply being moderate in our eating, it is something far bigger. Peoples’ habits are always a touchy subject, and eating is certainly among the touchiest. But if you’ll follow along with me, you’ll see why it is so important.

Christ’s 40 days of fasting

Before He started His ministry on earth, Jesus went on a 40 day fast to prepare. The purpose of the fast was to gain a victory over the most basic human needs so that not even hunger or death could cause Him to be tempted to sin.

In man’s behalf, Christ conquered by enduring the severest test. For our sake He exercised a self-control stronger than hunger or death. And in this first victory were involved other issues that enter into all our conflicts with the powers of darkness…

Christ entered upon the test upon the point of appetite, and for nearly six weeks resisted temptation in behalf of man. That long fast in the wilderness was to be a lesson to fallen man for all time. Christ was not overcome by the strong temptations of the enemy, and this is encouragement for every soul who is struggling against temptation.

Christ has made it possible for every member of the human family to resist temptation. All who would live godly lives may overcome as Christ overcame, by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony. That long fast of the Saviour strengthened Him to endure. He gave evidence to man that He would begin the work of overcoming just where ruin began,–on the point of appetite….

The Redeemer of the world knew that the indulgence of appetite would bring physical debility, and so deaden the perceptive organs that sacred and eternal things would not be discerned. Christ knew that the world was given up to gluttony, and that this indulgence would pervert the moral powers. If the indulgence of appetite was so strong upon the race that in order to break its power, the divine Son of God, in behalf of man, was required to fast nearly six weeks, what a work is before the Christian in order that he may overcome even as Christ overcame! The strength of the temptation to indulge perverted appetite can be measured only by the inexpressible anguish of Christ in that long fast in the wilderness. {Counsel on Diets and Foods, E.G. White pg 186.1}

Food is one of the most basic needs for humans and all animals. It is an instinctive need in our human nature. Christ gained this victory so that we too can rise above this need, and give Him control over our human natures in order to accomplish His will.

So what does this mean for us. Why does this matter today? Does God want us to fast for 40 days like Christ? No. But, there are several reasons why this is so crucial for us today as we prepare for the last days. First of all, Christ wants us have clear minds and sound bodies so we can hear His voice and be better suited to serve Him. For so many of us, our bodies are so clogged and our minds are numb because of the food we eat and our eating habits. We can barely stay awake through church (if we aren’t entertained and stimulated we can’t keep our eyes open). Getting up early for prayer and personal devotions is impossible. God certainly has a higher ideal for us.

But equally important is the experience of gaining victory over our human natures, through the surrendering of our will to Him. I think that we still don’t have a good grasp of what it is to be victorious; to win a battle over our instincts; to really surrender ourselves to His will. We talk about surrendering and giving our will to Him, but have we really experienced it.

Anyone who has tried to diet and lose weight knows how difficult it is to gain a victory over appetite. So God says, “Lets work together, lets figure things out. Experience victory through My power. Lets start with the appetite, because that a tough battle; a key battle ground for a first assault on to the enemy’s territory.” When we learn to be victorious in this battle, we can be ready for other victories. Christ wants us to be victorious Christians.

Daniel and Others Tested On Appetite

There’s another reason why this issue is so important. Let’s go back to the Bible and think about a few characters, starting with Daniel. You all know about how Daniel and his three friends refused to eat the king’s food and asked to be tested for 10 days. It seems like a small thing, but it was the beginning of the work of one of the greatest prophets of the Bible and arguably one of the greatest statesmen of all time. Who else in history advised several different kings; kings from entirely different countries; in fact kings who invaded and overthrew the previous king wanted Daniel to remain as a key advisor. His character was flawless, his integrity beyond reproach, all because he ‘purposed in his heart to obey God’ about everything, starting with the very food that he would put in his mouth.

Now he was not the only Bible character that faced a test on food. John the Baptist, who was the greatest prophet had a strict diet from when he was born. In fact, the angel Gabriel gave specific instruction to his father, Zachariah, regarding his diet. John had the privilege to prepare the way for the coming of the messiah and also to baptize Jesus. He lived a pure life away from the trappings of the world, following a strict diet and walking closely with God.

How about Ezekiel? God asked him to lay on his side for 390 days and eat simple barley loaves at the start of his ministry. God wanted him to understand the patience and long suffering that He had for His people. As well he wanted Ezekiel to be prepared for the powerful testimony he would be asked to give.

What about Elijah? He relied on God to feed him by ravens by the brook Cherith, in preparation for his battle against Ahab, Jezebel and her 400 prophets of Baal. There’s Gideon and his 300 men taking on a vast army of the Midianites. So many others faced a test on the issue of appetite as a key requisite to be in God’s service.

How about others who were tested and failed? Adam and Eve for starters. They lost their innocence, their home and their relationship with God because of appetite. Esau sold his birthright for a bowl of lentils; a birthright that could have made him the father of a great nation. Then there were the Israelites after the exodus, who were supposed to be Gods special people. God miraculously provided manna for them, but all they could do was complain. They wanted the fleshpots of Egypt, rather than the Manna from Heaven. They lost their chance to go into the promised land as a result. Samson, was supposed to be a Nazarine, but he didn’t follow the strict diet he was supposed to, and squandered his strength on a harlot and lost his freedom, his eyes and almost his eternal life. The son’s of Eli the high priest had uncontrolled appetites which lead the whole nation to despise the ordinances from God. Eventually, their actions caused them to lose the Ark of the Covenant to the Philistines.

To all these people to whom God gave special missions, He first gave a test on appetite. Some endured and passed the test to go on to do some of the greatest things in the Bible. Others failed miserably and lost not only their chance to accomplish great things for God, some lost their eternal life.

A Test for the 144,000

If God gave a test of appetite to those in the Bible for whom He had special missions, is it any different today? Could it be that He is going use a test of appetite for those whom He has a special mission in the end times? Could it be that God is looking for a people that have overcome their appetites and human natures in order to do a special work? Is God looking for an army of followers, who cannot be tempted by their appetites or passions; that even their very natures, right down to their imaginations and every thought are in accordance to His will?

Jesus is waiting for His bride to make herself ready, clothed in the righteousness of the saints; people that have step by step gained victories over every besetment that could cause them to stumble; people who have had the experience of overcoming and of learning to trust in Him. He needs the 144,000 to be ready stand in the time of trouble, without an intercessor, who will stand even when everyone else is against them and it seems that even God has forsaken them. Who cannot be swayed by their feelings, their senses or even human instincts, but will stand on the word of God, because they have been trained to do so.

That kind of training doesn’t come easily. And it certainly takes time. Most of us are not ready and we would fail if severe trials came upon us.

Those who exercise but little faith now, are in the greatest danger of falling under the power of Satanic delusions and the decree to compel the conscience. And even if they endure the test, they will be plunged into deeper distress and anguish in the time of trouble, because they have never made it a habit to trust in God. The lessons of faith which they have neglected, they will be forced to learn under a terrible pressure of discouragement.

The “time of trouble such as never was,” is soon to open upon us; and we shall need an experience which we do not now possess, and which many are too indolent to obtain. It is often the case that trouble is greater in anticipation than in reality; but this is not true of the crisis before us. The most vivid presentation cannot reach the magnitude of the ordeal. In that time of trial, every soul must stand for himself before God. Great Controversy pg 621

I had the privilege to meet Pastor Fujita from Japan, who’s family was one of the early Seventh Day Adventist in Japan. He told the story of his life as a child in post world war II Japan. Food was scarce and was being rationed out by the government. Only problem was that the food was being handed out on Saturdays. The choice was to either stand in line to get food or go to church. His mother made the faithful decision to go to church rather than to stand in line for the rations. None of her neighbours would help her, thinking that she must be getting food from the Americans since she was a Christian. They struggled greatly, but God blessed them for passing this test.

If we had to make such a choice, could we pass the test? If we could not buy or sell, and we were hungry, would we capitulate? How about an even tougher choice: If we had a bit of food and someone else was hungry, would we give our food to them? Christ spoke of the end times, recorded in Matthew 24 and 25. He said that if we give food, drink or clothing to the poor we have done it unto Him. Sounds simple enough, when we have enough to eat right now, but how about if it was our last meal. What if there was a food crisis, with natural disasters everywhere, droughts and crop failures. What if there were laws forbidding anyone to sell food to us. Would we have the grace and strength of character to give our only bit of food to someone else and go hungry. What a powerful testimony of Christian love that would be! A time is coming when we have the chance to shine like a powerful beacon in the darkest world. But also every attempt will be made to coerce our consciences. Only the strong in faith will survive. A faith developed, cultivated and trained by lots of practice. And the Bible tells us that the first step in that training is often on appetite.

If you are up to the challenge, to be victorious over our appetite through Christ, a great book to start reading is Counsels on Diets and Foods (don’t just go on a crazy crash diet). Read the chapters called, “diet and spirituality”, “health reform and the third angel’s message”, “control of appetite”, and “fasting”. God says ‘come, let’s reason together’. He wants to work with you and build a plan for victory, so we can be ready to stand in the crisis.

Diane Barnett is the Medical Director at Uchee Pines Institute. She has shared a letter that is very sobering to say the least. The letter tells of a number of people who have recently had dreams about a coming storm and waves that are relentless in fury.

But before sharing Dr. Diane’s letter, please read carefully the following quote “This is the day of the Lord’s preparation. He says: “Behold, I come as a thief….  The great work from which the mind should not be diverted, is the consideration of our safety in the sight of God. The storm is coming, relentless in its fury. Are we prepared to meet it? Are our feet on the Rock of Ages? Are we one with Christ, as he is one with the Father?” RH, Dec. 27, 1898.
Now here is the letter from Dr. Diane Barnett:

I recently had a dream that when I related it to others I found that they, too, had had a dream about a storm.  May the seriousness and soberness of the hour be with us.

On Tuesday, August 3rd, I had a dream before awakening in the morning.  I was walking outside to go into a building with my family.  It was a clear day and one of my brothers was racing and playing around on the way in, making me laugh.  As we got inside to a certain room, I felt wind blowing in.  I knew that the room would never get warm unless the opening to the room was closed.  My father and I went to go close it and saw that the main doors into the building were wide open.  At that point I realized that the building was made of wood and was much like a barn.  As we approached the doors, I saw that a tremendous storm was on us. The atmosphere of laughter was turned into crisis.  All was dark and things were whirling every direction with winds of hurricane strength.  We were struggling to close the doors as the strength of the winds were so strong that we could barely pull them.  I heard a dog scream in the destruction of the winds just before waking.

As soon as I awoke I felt that the storm was the final crisis of the earth and that it is “near, even at the doors.” I realized that all earthly buildings (spiritual and temporal) would be destroyed in such winds.  I felt desperate to have the fullness of God’s grace, His protection.  I felt anxious to know that I had oil in my lamp.  I have been praying for direction regarding certain decisions I must make, and I felt this dream was to help me know what to do.  I felt it was significant as it was in the exact same manner as two previous dreams I had regarding my daughter’s cancer:  At 4:00 in the morning, short, succinct, and memorable.

I felt I had to tell someone of the dream so as not to lose the impact.  I called Winnie in Bermuda to tell her, and we had a prayer for help to get ready.  Then when I got to work, Lisa was in my office.

“Lisa, I have to tell you about the dream I had this morning.” After relating to her my dream, she said to me: “That’s strange.  I had a dream last night about a storm, too.  In my dream I was standing outside of a large white building. Before me was a river and there were people all over the place playing and going about whatever business they had. Several of us were standing next to the white building, and though I was with them I had a sense that I really should be in the building. Very soon a warning was given to all of us that a really bad storm was coming and that we should seek shelter. Since I was standing close to the entrance of this large white building I thought that I’d stay outside just long enough to see the storm approach. I have always enjoyed storms so I didn’t feel intimidated. But quite unexpected the storm blew in on a sunshiny day and all were so surprised that it was hard to maintain our footing. A large stocky man came out of nowhere and grabbed my arm and dragged me to safety inside the building rebuking me for being outside. People were screaming and all was crazy outside, but inside everything was peaceful and restful. And immediately I had the sense that this place was for only those who kept the health message and lived in unity with God. Many did not come inside though there was space for everyone. At that point, I woke up.”

She did not think her dream was anything significant until she heard my dream.  Hearing her dream also brought greater impact regarding my dream.

Later on Thursday of that week we were having devotions for medical conference.  I shared my dream as well as Lisa’s.  One of the students then said that Nicky had also had a dream about a storm.  When Nicky came in we asked her to share her dream.

She dreamed that there was a tsunami.  Hundreds of people were being pulled out to the ocean and drowning.  She was striving with all her energy to save an unknown person.  She had to grab hold of the person and pull with all her strength to get the person to shore.  There was a stairway with a banister coming out of the ocean.  She put the person in front of her so that she could prevent the wave from crashing on the person.  She got a hold of the banister with one hand, and with the other held onto the person.  It took great effort to keep the person from being pulled out with the under-tow.

The next day, Friday morning, I had a phone conversation with a patient’s mother in England.  She told me that she and her husband were convicted that they needed to move back out to the countryside.  They had moved closer to the city for convenience because of her husband’s work.  But the children were now totally unruly after being in public school.

I told her it was not only an option, but a directive from God as we are at the end of time.  I then related my dream, as well as Lisa’s and Nicky’s. With amazement she then told me:  “Dr. Diane, I had a dream about a storm six weeks ago.  It was flooding and people were drowning everywhere.  My concern was for my 5 children.  I was desperately looking for all of them to make sure they were safe.”

I had a lecture to give to our lifestyle guests at Uchee Pines that morning.  As I finished my talk on cancer, I told them that I believed we were at the end of time.  I related all the dreams about a storm to them, now four in number.

The following week on Monday afternoon I was seeing patients.  I was visiting with our 15 year-old guest and her mother.  Sydni left the room for a fever treatment while I finished discussing plans with her mother.  June related to me how thankful she was to be able to come to Uchee Pines.  She had struggled with weight issues for over 24 years unsuccessfully.  What she had learned here at Uchee led her to a full commitment, and with God’s grace, she and her husband would follow God’s plan as a family.

I then asked her if she heard my lecture on Friday when I told about the storm dreams, especially Lisa’s with the building that was for people that kept the Health Message.

“Dr. Diane, I almost fell out of my chair when you told those dreams.  Sydni had a dream last week about a storm.  I went and found her to ask her about the dream, but all she could tell me was that it was a horrible storm and she was so afraid.”

The import of these messages seemed to be growing in weight.  I had to tell everyone.  I went to the executive office and asked Brother Champen if I could tell him something.  “Well, I don’t know.  Is it good or bad?” he asked.  “Yes!” was my answer.

I then related all the above story.  When I finished, he remarked that “this is very sobering, and we are not ready.  We are too busy.”

I then went to my office to get ready to go home.  A young woman from off-campus came in to visit.  “Chrissy, I have to tell you something.”

“Oh no.  Do I need to sit down?” she asked.  “No,” I said, “you need to kneel down.”

After I told her all  of the dreams, she said to me, “Dr. Diane, I had two dreams last week about tidal waves.  But there was a big wall by the shore and as long as we stood on the wall we were safe.”

On Tuesday, Dr. Karla Boutet’s told me of an experience (not a dream) that she had while at camp meeting at  Camp Alamosa.  It was a nice day and she decided to take the kids out on the lake in the paddle boat.  As they paddled down the lake a little way, a woman stepped out on her porch and yelled out to them, “A storm is coming.” Karla turned and asked her if she knew when it was coming.  Others turned and headed for shore, encouraging her to head for shore as well.  Just as they reached the dock the storm burst upon them.  She felt impressed that this was as the storm coming upon the earth and that she should not ask “when” but to head for shore and be ready for the storm in shelter.

I continue to share this series of dreams because the seriousness grows as I hear from others that they, too, have had a dream or an experience of a storm.

August 14th after church on Sabbath I shared the stories with the Hargreaves.  Teresa tells me that in the last week she woke in the morning with the song “Shelter in the Time of Storm” on her mind and she couldn’t get it out of her mind.

She said that was unusual for her; she never awakens with a song on her mind like that.  She even told her parents about it as it seemed so out of the ordinary.

Later that day I had some friends over to the house.  When I begin to share with them the story of the storm dreams, Jane interrupts me about three dreams into the story.   About 4 weeks ago she had a dream about a storm wave.  Joella’s family, her own family, and her church family come to a house that they had never been to before but they feel like they know it. Someone suddenly shouts: “There’s a big wave coming.”    “I walk to the front door and I see a huge wave, so huge it looks like it could hit the moon.  I am afraid because I am thinking that no one is going to survive this, no one here underneath this roof.   I stand watching it and as it gets closer it turns into monuments, like the red rock monuments of our land. I turned from looking out the door and saw that everyone in the room was in deep prayer.  It seems like their prayers are what turned the waves into monuments.  I felt impressed not to disturbed them and went to the back of the house.  I then felt at peace, not afraid.  It felt like God was there.”

“When this dream occurred, I was going through very difficult trials at that time here at UP.  I felt out of place and I wanted to go home.  As I woke up from this dream, I felt assurance that I was doing the right thing getting the training here at UP because the storm is coming and that  this is what I need to go back home and get my people ready.”

August 27, 2010:  In the last week, four more people have told me of a dream they have had in the last 2 months pertaining to being in a storm, mostly a tidal wave or tsunami.  Amy Pershin had a dream of a tidal wave.  She knew it was coming and the Lord said:  “Just hold on.” She felt herself under water temporarily with the Lord again saying, “Just hold on.” She came out from under the water and felt the peace and security in the Lord.  Mary Jane Lewis, Tatiana Meinhart, and Garrison Haywood all had a dream of a storm and I will add the details of these after they give them to me.

September 2, 2010:  Sean Bryant told me today that he dreamed he was in a house and a tremendous and frightening storm was outside.  All of the events Christ said would happen before His coming were happening, one right after another in quick succession.  He said he knew they would happen quickly, but he didn’t know it would be that quick. He saw fire coming out of the sky.  He looked outside and saw a black cloud the size of a man’s fist, growing as it came closer.  He could see that it was the Lord coming but it dissipated before reaching him.  He awoke feeling the great need to be ready now for the Lord’s coming.

I feel very sure that the Lord is giving the message of urgency and the imminence of the hour.

When we as doctors have a patient that is approaching the end of their life, we tell them that “they need to get his/her affairs in order … Is your will made?” I believe the Lord is telling us that we are at the end of life here on earth.  It is time to get our affairs in order.  Our living will needs to be in place.
Isaiah 26:20 says: “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.”

Matthew 7:24-27 says: “Whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” Dr. Diane Barnett

We know natural disasters are increasing on the earth and will get worse as we get closer to the Second Coming of Christ. But these dreams speak to my heart of another storm soon coming when everything that can be shaken will be shaken: “We are in the shaking time, the time when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. The Lord will not excuse those who know the truth if they do not in word and deed obey His commands. If we make no effort to win souls to Christ we shall be held responsible for the work we might have done, but did not do because of our spiritual indolence. Those who belong to the Lord’s kingdom must work earnestly for the saving of souls.” CM 12.

“The time is coming when we cannot sell at any price. The decree will soon go forth prohibiting men to buy or sell of any man save him that hath the mark of the beast….In the last great conflict in the controversy with Satan those who are loyal to God will see every earthly support cut off. Because they refuse to break His law in obedience to earthly powers they will be forbidden to buy or sell”. LDE 148.

“Now is the time to prepare. The seal of God will never be placed upon the forehead of an impure man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of men or women of false tongues or deceitful hearts. All who receive the seal must be without spot before God–candidates for heaven. Go forward, my brethren and sisters. I can only write briefly upon these points at this time, merely calling your attention to the necessity of preparation. Search the Scriptures for yourselves, that you may understand the fearful solemnity of the present hour.” CCh 334 – The Coming Crisis.

The Omega Apostasy

Greetings my Friend, I pray that you are continuing to grow in the Lord each day. We are a little more than 6 weeks away from the 59th General Conference Session of Seventh-day Adventists which is to convene at the Georgia World Congress Center and Georgia Dome — Atlanta, Georgia.  It will be a very exciting time to watch, listen and soak in what it happening within the walls of our faith.

 In my last “ET” (End Time) email titled: ET: Amazing Story from 39,000 feet in the air, I received the most replies and phone calls from that one email than any “ET” sent out thus far. It’s wondering to share a testimony, but friends, let’s not forget about the truth. 

 In this time of well-nigh universal apostasy, God calls upon His messengers to proclaim His law in the spirit and power of Elias. As John the Baptist, in preparing a people for Christ’s first advent, called their attention to the Ten Commandments, so we are to give, with no uncertain sound, the message: “Fear God and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come.” With the earnestness that characterized Elijah the prophet and John the Baptist, we are to strive to prepare the way for Christ’s second advent.  {FLB 290.5}

 I have been taking note of the many different deceptions that are continuing to grow and take root within the church, from the teaching of evolution as fact in our colleges and universities, the use of drums in worship, the pleasant truth messages vs. the present truth messages, lunar Sabbath, to women’s ordination (thankfully which is not on the agenda for this coming’s GC Session), to the outright blatant stealth of the apostasy, cloaked under the garb of church growth.

 What is this apostasy? Depending on where you are located in the world, it could assume many different names such as: Spiritual Formations, Religious Formations, the Emerging Church, Promise Keepers, Million Man March, National Innovation Conference, the Ecumenical Movement, Spiritual Leaders, and several others.

 This is deceptively invading our denomination from the top down, which such stealth, but the majority is a sleep as were the 10 virgins as they waited for the Bridegroom to appear. But friends, make sure you are part of the 5 that brought extra oil, which according to Mrs. White doesn’t not just represent the Holy Spirit, but more specifically in this scriptural passage, our character.

 There is a world lying in wickedness, in deception, and delusion, in the very shadow of death,–asleep, asleep. Who are feeling travail of soul to awaken them? What voice can reach them? My mind is carried to the future when the signal will be given, “Behold the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.” But some will have delayed to obtain the oil for replenishing their lamps, and too late they will find that character, which is represented by the oil, is not transferable. That oil is the righteousness of Christ. It represents character, and character is not transferable. No man can secure it for another. Each must obtain for himself a character purified from every stain of sin. The Lord is coming in power and great glory. It will then be His work to make a complete separation between the righteous and the wicked. But the oil cannot then be transferred to the vessels of those who have it not. Then shall be fulfilled the words of Christ, “Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” The righteous and the wicked are to be associated together in the work of life. But the Lord reads the character, He discerns who are obedient children, who respect and love His commandments.  {Bible Echo, May 4, 1896 par. 2}

 Let’s go back to what the subject at hand is – The Omega Apostasy. We have been given clear light on this topic.

First, we know that the Alpha Apostasy was brought in by Kellogg with Pantheism through “The Living Temple.” ”Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature.”  {1SM 197.4}

 The omega will follow, and will be received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has given.  {1SM 200.1}

 I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people. I knew that I must warn our brethren and sisters not to enter into controversy over the presence and personality of God. The statements made in Living Temple in regard to this point are incorrect. The scripture used to substantiate the doctrine there set forth, is scripture misapplied.  {1SM 203.2}

 So what does, Mrs. White mean when she writes “is scripture misapplied.” Could she be referring to the part where Revelation says, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Rev 18:4

 Perhaps the misapplication of this text is the way we have not “come out,” but rather have “joined hands with” that is the primary error. 

Doug Batchelor gave a very vivid illustration in one of his sermon a number of years ago, called “When Fire Came Down.” It was one that has been etched into my mind. He illustrated a Ferrari plant, which produced extremely high performance sports cars at 30 cars per day. In an effort to increase production, a team of research and development personnel was sent to high production bicycle factory in Taiwan. They notated the streamlining of construction and the speed at which they worked to mass-produce these bicycles. After gather as much data as they could, they returned to the Ferrari plant, and started implementing the changes needed to mass-produce their Ferrari’s. After a while, they noticed that their Ferrari’s were looking more like bicycles, than Ferrari’s!

 Could it be that we are producing an inferior line of Seventh-day Adventists because of manufacturing data collected from those outside the original Seventh-day Adventist manufacturing plant, causing many from within to bow the knee Baal?

 Is this the Omega Apostasy my friend? The answer to that lies in our study and retained knowledge of God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy.

So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures. By their testimony every statement and every miracle must be tested.  {GC 593.1}

 Those who endeavor to obey all the commandments of God will be opposed and derided. They can stand only in God. In order to endure the trial before them, they must understand the will of God as revealed in His word; they can honor Him only as they have a right conception of His character, government, and purposes, and act in accordance with them. None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict. To every soul will come the searching test: Shall I obey God rather than men? The decisive hour is even now at hand. Are our feet planted on the rock of God’s immutable word? Are we prepared to stand firm in defense of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus?  {GC 593.2}

What to do? Study. Study. Study! Be able to give an answer to what you believe, for that time is coming.

And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. Matt 10:18

Amazing Story from 39,000 feet in the air

Hello my Friend,

 I pray that you are growing in Christ everyday in preparation for His soon return. I received that amazing story and wanted to share this with you as it certainly is a testament to things to things that do not come from our mouth, but rather in what we do for others are watching us. So then, what we do, is therefore a witness to others.

 This true story just happened at the end of March.

 Don Folkenberg is one of the site coordinators for ShareHim campaigns. Recently, he was overseeing Fountainview Academy seniors while on their ShareHim class mission trip to Sabah. He had to leave early, unexpectedly, when one of his in-laws died. 

The airlines bumped him to first class. He was on a trans-Pacific flight on a 747. He pulled out Fountainview’s new Steps to Christ in song music DVD set to watch/listen while traveling. Unbeknownst to him, the flight attendants in his cabin began congregating around his seat to watch the scenes on the screen. Finally, one tapped him on the shoulder to ask if he could please let them hear the music, since they could only see the screen. Steps to Christ in Song was filmed outdoors in national parks in California and Utah. The settings are spectacular, with singers and orchestra situated on rocky outcroppings, beaches, and mountain hillsides. 

Soon, other first class passengers found out something interesting was going on around Don’s seat. They got up to look, too. The flight attendants said, Go back to your seats. No crowding. The passengers said, Hey, you’re crowding. We want to see this, too. We’re not going back to our seats! 

They were so interested that they requested that the DVD series (6 and a half hours) be added to the movie selection list for their cabin. That was done. Then the off-duty flight attendants upstairs in the break room wanted to watch, so they got it up there. Then business class got it. 

Then the coach class found out something was going on and started complaining that, no fair, first class and business was getting to watch something special and they couldn’t see it. So the flight attendants said, Look, you can watch this if you want, but we’ll have to turn off the movie (only the big screens in coach). So that’s what they did. Instead of movies, the coach class got to watch all 6 1/2 hours of the Steps to Christ in Song. 

Don Folkenberg went to the captain and said, I don’t want to get you in trouble over this. These are videos of Christian young people singing Christian music. The captain said, “I’m the one in charge here, and I don’t care what anybody says. We’re playing these videos. I don’t even care what the air marshal says.” Apparently the people on the plane were thrilled with the music and pictures and many wanted to know how to order the videos. I heard this story straight from Don Folkenberg last Saturday night (April 10) as he told a group of FA students. It was thrilling!

Johannesburg Report

I write to you from Johannesburg, South Africa as I am here to conduct an evangelistic campaign to the  folks in a low-to mid class area of Johannesburg.

 We started the meetings on Sunday evening with about 400 in attendance, 80 of them according to registering are non-SDA’s. At the end of the meetings I felt impressed to say, “If I gave each of one million Rand (South African currency) tonight and every night of the meeting, would you go out and tell your friends to come? They obviously answered “Yes!” I then asked if what they heard tonight on Trusting in God and His Word was valuable, to which they replied “yes.” I told them to tell their friends and bring them too.  Last night, there were an additional 30 more non-SDAs that came! Praise God.

 Please keep these meetings in your prayers that God will continue to pour out the Holy Spirit upon each person.

 I want to forward a newsletter that was sent from Sonica Veith. Many of you will not recognize the first name as much as your will her last name. Sonica is Dr. Walter Veith’s wife. Dr. Veith in tandem with my friend Henry Stober conducted 16 Creation Presentations in January around Germany to some 9,000 people. Some of you will recall, I started sending this ET (End TIme) email out just about 2 years ago when I was with Henry in Tanzania shooting and videoing with him for this Creation project. Through this, I was inspired to get the Word out.

 Here are some testimonies from people who attended and also heard Dr. Veith’s testimony:

Starnberg (near Munich): Five people came to Walter Veith and said, “We used to be orthodox, but because of your preaching today, we are Seventh-day Adventists. Many thanks for this, and please keep up! “ 

Lauterach (Austria): A woman visited the Amazing Discoveries Office before the meeting started and said: “I know you through the Internet. I have come from Switzerland. I have seen all the videos, and want to say that I have left the Catholic Church. How can I be Adventist? “What a joy it was, to introduce this lady to the local pastor, who is now giving her Bible studies! 

Aachen: A father has traveled with his son, from Hamburg, with another large group of Rostock – how big is the spiritual hunger! The Father spoke to us on the platform saying: “We became aware of you through the DVDs. We want to come to the Adventist church. “And his son added:” Can you tell me how can I be baptized? “ 

Countless letters, conversations and phone calls from people who have watched the presentation and through the film and the talks have received a new perspective on the three angel’s message remains the truth for our time. Is it also for us as Seventh-day Adventists with regards to “present truth”? Yes – you too can also reach the hearts of people today. But not unless we align ourselves with the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is coming soon – we need to prepare the way for him!

 Dear Friends,

 Since our first newsletter we received a flood of letters of encouragement and prayers as well as some of your own experiences with reaching souls in the furthest corners of the earth through the DVD ministry.  How inspiring!  Many thanks for your kindness towards us and your dedication to the Lord’s work.

 Before I give you an update on Walter’s recent trip to Germany, I would like to post just one of many of the heart-warming testimonies we received.  The following letter is from a non-SDA pastor in the UK:

 Just to encourage you all at Amazing Discoveries, The Total Onslaught and Rekindling the Reformation series have made us very aware and had really been a wakeup call. Thank you. Our church here in the UK, is not SDA, but from the start of this year we’ve been meeting on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. We and the main church in Australia, have been quizzed and mocked already for this stand, but we are CONVINCED by the reasoning, regarding the Sabbath being the Saturday, in the DVD’s. I truly hope that encourages you. Please let Professor Veith know the message IS getting ‘out there’ and not just to the 7th Day Adventists. I’m sure we’re not the only ones also… I remember God saying to Elijah that He has others who have not bowed to knee to baal.

What a bold stand God’s ‘eleventh-hour’ people are making!  Their courage is like a breeze of fresh air to many of us who have fallen asleep breathing the stale, tainted air of indifference and complacency. Amidst ridicule they are running with the message while we are getting more and more weighed down with problems from within and without the church.  The seed that fell on the stony ground had no root in itself and when tribulation and persecution came, it ‘withered away’. Likewise the seed among the thorns became entangled in the ‘cares of this world’ and became ‘unfruitful’. (Matthew 13:20 -22) Have we as a church become ‘unfruitful’, are we ‘withering away’?

God longs to arouse us to reach out to the world with the last urgent warnings for millions in darkness.  He longs for us to stand united as a church, as wise virgins with our lamps trimmed and filled with oil, for it is almost midnight and the Bridegroom is coming.  The Pen of Inspiration reminds us of our duty and our great privilege to work together with our Lord to prepare the world for His soon coming:

“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light-bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the Word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import,–the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention.  {Ev 119.3} 

 The most solemn truths ever entrusted to mortals have been given us to proclaim to the world. The proclamation of these truths is to be our work. The world is to be warned, and God’s people are to be true to the trust committed to them. . . .  {Ev 120.1}  

 Shall we wait until God’s judgments fall upon the transgressor before we tell him how to avoid them? Where is our faith in the Word of God? Must we see things foretold come to pass before we will believe what He has said? In clear, distinct rays light has come to us, showing us that the great day of the Lord is near at hand, “even at the door.”–Testimonies, vol. 9, pp. 19, 20. (1909)  {Ev 120.2}

 It was the 4th of October 2009 when Walter consented to visiting Germany after many years of not preaching there.  He had been banned from speaking in Germany after his lecture on the Bible Translations and his DVD’s were subsequently withdrawn from distribution by the church.  It was a bitter pill to swallow for him, for he had a burden for his fellow German people, but he accepted that they possibly misunderstood his unorthodox approach to reaching souls.  Many requests from churches and pastors to bring him back to Germany were turned down and he resolved to lay the matter to rest and continued with his research and lectures in other parts of the world.

But now a young man, inspired and extremely talented in photography, had produced a top class film on the seven days of the Creation account, a production which took 4 years to complete.  Through inspiration and much prayer Henry Stober and Ilja Bondar visited 5 continents and filmed and produced the astounding movie ‘The Creation’. But Henry felt he needed to reach not only the heart, but also the mind and for this reason he invited Walter to give his science-based Creation lectures to accompany the film.

In view of the banning Walter was reluctant to accept the invitation. However, after the assurance was given that the tour was privately organized and financed, and was to take place in city halls and not in the churches; he reasoned that there would surely not be any objection to him speaking on Creation only.

On the 5th of October, the very next day after he made the final decision to go, I fell in my backyard and shattered my hip.  The tour was organized for January and my ‘sentence’ was at least 3 months ‘hard labour’ on two crutches and another two months on one.  The plans for Europe were slipping down the drain and Walter could not see his way clear to leave me in my state for 3 weeks. But the Lord had it all worked out.  In the nick of time I recovered well enough to help myself to a certain extent and friends came to stay with me during that time. Satan’s plan to thwart the efforts to reach Germany was stayed.

And what a tour that was!  The whole team agreed that there had never been such an impact in Germany ever. The presentations took place in seven cities in Germany and Austria, reaching more than 9000 people.  Between 40 and 90% of the audiences were non-SDA visitors who had never heard this ‘First Angel’s’ message before. The large halls seating from 500 to 1200 people were overflowing.  People were crowding into the isles and hundreds outside had to be refused entry for safety reasons.  Police and the Fire Brigade had to guard the doors to prevent the disappointed visitors waiting out in the snow from slipping in. God worked mightily despite efforts to the contrary.

 Joh 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 

 Even though the ripples of repercussion were felt throughout the tour, the Lord stayed the hand of the opposition and calmed the waves.  He revealed His wondrous creation to the world and blessed and protected His servants against onslaughts from within and without.

 Isa 51:15   But I am the LORD thy God that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name. 

 Isa 51:16  And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people. 

 May we stay faithful to our Lord, may He bless you and keep you in the ‘shadow of His hand’.

 Dear Friends, what you have read and seen has taken place in Germany.  A very secular country with many struggles in Adventism in regards to preaching “Present Truth.” However, this tells us the Holy Spirit is at work, through His instrument who are unashamed to stand for truth, no matter what the consequences.

 As the storm approaches, large classes who have professed faith in the third angel’s message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side. Men of talent and pleasing address, who once rejoiced in the truth, employ their powers to deceive and mislead souls. They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren. When Sabbathkeepers are brought before the courts to answer for their faith, these apostates are the most efficient agents of Satan to misrepresent and accuse them, and by false reports and insinuations to stir up the rulers against them.  {GC 608.2}
